At this point I expect the developers to make the choice that unintentionally upsets people, so I figure any Icari or Kryska ship will focus more on the relationship between them and their relationship with the MC being secondary. And every other relationship needs to start off from a place where the girls can't initially trust Kayto's feelings as being genuine because of his behavior with Chigara. For those that like her there should also be the option to try for Chigara again and to maintain your feelings for her, but otherwise there should be the option to state, in character, that there was honestly never any feelings there in the first place. There needs to be consequences from the various girls for the relationship with Chigara no matter what, but Kayto needs to be able to be played as completely ignoring the relationship with Chigara as a mistake, or there needs to be the revelation that mind control was taking place. Next game *needs* to do something to rectify the railroading of the previous game. Who want's to volunteer to be Kayto's next emotional support bedwarmer? I still don't see how Kayto can realistically have another relationship with a crewmember after Chigara. In some fashion I just bet Chigara is going to be a black hole that the narrative can't escape from. Or she's going to be a villain sue who takes over the narrative while Kayto is paralyzed by his feelings for her not allowing him to effectively fight her. Next forced romance is probably going to be Chigara again.
